Good Morning my dears! Today I’m up on the Felicity Jane blog sharing this awesome 2016 layout I made with a mix of old and new product from this amazing kit club!
As I was browsing around the internet, I saw a lot about the new year and I thought that would be such a fun idea to morph into a scrapbook page! So I cut out the 2016 using my silhouette and my favorite sans serif font, Bebas Nue. It’s still my go to font when I want something to look modern yet classic.
I really want to be better at using my silhouette more this year so I cut out these stars from the Felicity Jane Silhouette store and I think they added the perfect touch to my page.
One of my favorite things to do in a scrapbook page is to show off a bunch of different patterned papers, a la the magnificent Page Evans, but this time I went for a soft and subtle mixing of patterns. I was originally going to use a fourth color for the 1, but when I had that flower paper underneath I just loved the way it looked!
This warm wood grain paper is seriously one of my all time favs! I love the coziness it brings to this page and it plays so well with the pink and white hues. Adding a touch of gold with sequins and some glitter washi tape really added that final finishing touch that I was looking for. I think it would be fun to do a page like this every single year!!
